Hello Connected Community...

Nailah: After retiring from the military, I found myself at a crossroads.  I had a life of service, and I wanted to continue serving in some way.  My children were also starting their careers as well.  They were looking for work, and it occurred to me that they could work for me.  I realized many people felt a lot of division, and I wanted to do something about it.  So, we discussed having t-shirts with unity themes and encouraging people to bring positive change to their communities while promoting harmony. This idea was born out of my own experiences of unity and service, and I believe it can resonate with many others.  We do believe we can impact the world one community at a time.  We also believe many people think like we do.

Ansar:  Growing up, I heard that you should treat others how you want to be treated and that people want to leave the world better for those who come after them.  At first, I didn't think much of it. I just put it in the back of my mind with the rest of the well-meaning societal slop. Still, when my mom proposed that we start a movement to promote general harmony and togetherness, these ideas came back to me in full.  It is very easy to forget that everybody seeks their happiness when they first enter the adult world and get bogged down by all the responsibilities and expectations they are burdened with. And so, with this message, I aim to make people aware that even with all the complicated stuff that is going on, simple kindness and spreading positivity can still make the world a better place, both on a personal level and as a whole.

Dakota: Growing up, I've always been inspired by my mother’s commitment to service and community. I saw the importance of unity and kindness, not just in our family but in the broader world.

Joining Connected Cloth felt like a natural choice for me. This brand embodies values that I hold dear—promoting connection and kindness across the country. I wanted to be part of something that not only creates quality products but also fosters a sense of belonging and understanding. Working alongside my mom, I hope to carry on that legacy while helping to spread a message that can truly make a difference. I believe in the power of connection, and I’m excited to contribute to a mission that brings people together, one T-shirt at a time.
